My name is Tammy and I live locally with my husband and daughter having moved here 15 years ago. I have a background in working in Local Government, primarily in Child and Adult Services within the Contracts and Commissioning Teams.
Five years ago I took the step to re-train as a Teaching Assistant and now work full time in a local primary school supporting pupils from Nursery to Year 6. This role gives me an invaluable appreciation of the pressures our primary schools are under and how this can affect staff, pupils and parents and carers.
I am also Treasurer of Friends Of Woodland School and I enjoy helping the school, staff and children with their activities.
As a parent governor, I am hoping to draw upon my experience of working for Local Government, my role as Teaching Assistant and that of a parent to aid the school to continue to excel.
