“I have lived in Weardale for 25 years and have always been keen to engage with this wonderful, friendly community.
I was appointed as a Governor with a special focus on Safeguarding based on my professional background as a social worker working with children and families in the arena then known as “Child Protection”, I have also managed the provision of therapeutic services for children who have experienced abuse. I am now retired.
I have a particular concern about the impact of violence and deprivation on children’s lives and futures and strive to promote the importance of equal opportunities for all.
From both, professional and family backgrounds, I take a keen interest in the contribution school can make to the social and cultural development of children and I hope my experience will enable me to support Frosterley Primary in providing a safe and fulfilling learning environment for our children.”
